Banning baggy pants

It seems a growing number of cities around the USA are legislating against baggy pants, backed by claims of indecency when people flash their underwear.

The way people should dress is usually a part of the ethics of society. In very traditional societies, women aren’t allowed to show even an inch of their skin. In Afghanistan, women look like shadow because they’re covered from head to toe. In others, like the Gulf States they can show just the eyes. But in liberal countries, like Morocco, women are free to dress the way they like provided they don’t show too much flesh. In the street, you can meet women with headscarves as well as women and girls half naked.

In award winning ceremonies in Western countries, women wear evening dresses showing their back as well as a good proportion of their breasts. This adds to their glamour.

The legislation against baggy pants must be considered as reasonable as it is indecent for people to flash their underwear. This can be provocative as any other indecent gesture. This can be an eyesore for many. It is like walking naked in disguise as nakedness means showing private parts in one form or another. One should dress in society to draw respect. Clothes are aspects of the personality. Today’s fashionable clothes are meant to provide the body with much liberty and not to keep it tightened just for a good look. There is no harm in showing the beauty of one’s body but not to the point of indecency.

If you don't like it, why not turn your head the other way? Don't you have better things to worry about???
